My role
I led the customization design for the expert help service module on the Cart page, as well as overseeing the design iteration process.
Additionally, I facilitated an ADA workshop to ensure the solution meets Walmart’s accessibility standards. I collaborated closely with our PM and engineering teams throughout the product development and implementation phases.
About the project
Today, when customers purchase a TV, they are offered additional services such as a Protection Plan and Expert Help Services.
Competitors
Aside from BestBuy, most of our major competitors do not offer customers the ability to control the quantity they would like to purchase. This presents a great opportunity for us to provide better service.
Opportunity
Rather than obligating our customers to purchase additional "Expert Help," we can list the service as an independent item, allowing customers to regain control and decide how many services they truly need.
Problem
Unlike the protection plan service, the expert help service is not directly linked to a specific anchor item and cannot have its quantity fully adjusted. Customers need a way to select the amount of expert help based on the other items they are purchasing.
Solution
Provide the flexibility for our customer on the quantity selection of Expert Help service.
